In the beginning of the assignment, I didn't know a whole lot of online surveys and even in-person surveys other than it provided useful metrics for a company's products and customers. As I worked through the assignment, I didn't realize how much more there was to be learned through some simple multiple choice questions and directing them at one issue that needs to be solved.

I setup my survey and then put it out to social media to try and get a larger group of people to fill out the survey to gauge their opinions on the matter; it was really eye-opening! Being able to see patterns and similarities in people's comments and making connections with existing assumptions of the area and see the data follow suit with it.

Next time, I feel I would refine the questions a bit more and maybe tailor the questions to more direct issues, this would allow more specific data instead of speaking of the area as a whole.

We're beginning this course and I can tell it's going to be a good one: it's going to touch on all the little things that I want to get deep into. Coming fresh into the world of business, I really want to immerse myself in everything I can and soak it all up. Personal Blog #5

I like to think I am a brand loyal person and I like to stick to a few brands for basically everything I do. It's definitely a toss up among two of my most favorite: Mammut and Apple. They're a luxury brand but their build quality is what I am paying for; I buy a laptop, I want it to last a good amount of years, with a MacBook, I'm paying that premium for that longevity. Same with my ski gear and winter wear, I am paying for the quality so that it's not going to fall apart after a few runs, but it's going to last a few seasons, all while keeping me warm. I will have to go with Apple, though, as it encompasses most of my day-to-day life. The product benefits of an Apple product is that you're going to get support and updates for the life of the device cycle which is about 4 years for the device, whereas most updates on the Galaxy Android line runs out after about 2 years.
